When symptoms can't be managed at home

Most of the time, hospice care is brought to the patient at home, since the home is where most seriously ill people want to be: in familiar surroundings with familiar routines and familiar faces.
All hospices must offer inpatient care for help in the assessment and management of acute, complex, or uncontrolled symptoms such as pain or shortness of breath that cannot be provided at home or in other settings.

INS Inpatient Hospice Unit is located in Riverdale, GA and we also have multiple contracts with other inpatient Hospice Units and nursing homes across the metro-Atlanta area.
INS inpatient hospice unit is designed and decorated with hospice patients and their families in mind. They function as a home away from home for a hospice patient. The focus is on comfort and dignity, even when intensive care is necessary.

INS inpatient hospice unit is staffed by the inpatient team. An INS physician/NP makes daily rounds. Nurses provide care and integrated staff members—from social worker to chaplain —see assigned patients. Families are included in our care. Staff get to know loved ones. We welcome the visit of a beloved pet. They enhance quality of life for patients and families.

Our unit offers amenities like a family room, kitchen, and dining room. There are places for quiet meditation or prayer.

You and your loved ones deserve the best hospice care can provide. Please let us know if there is any way we can offer our assistance by sending us a message or calling us at 678-806-5900.
